Fried Bee Hoon (Vermicelli) Recipe

To celebrate Chinese New Year, I made some Fried Bee Hoon or Vermicelli for the family. This is the saucier version of my Stir-Fry Vermicelli recipe. Enjoy!
Fried Bee Hoon (Vermicelli) Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 oz rice vermicelli
- 3 tbsps coconut oil
- 1 lb ground grass-fed beef
- 1 anchovy
- 3 cups baby lettuce
Sauce:
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tsps five spice powder
- 2 tbsps dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
Steps:
- Soak vermicelli in warm water. Drain after 30 minutes.
- Heat coconut oil in pan over medium high heat, then add ground beef and anchovy.
- After beef is browned, add sauce and vermicelli.
- Stir-fry until vermicelli is well coated in sauce.
- Add baby lettuce and combine well.
- Serve immediately.
