Trader Joe's Plain Lassi

Trader Joe

For the fourth review of the probiotic yogurt drink series, I tried out Trader Joe’s Plain Lassi. Lassi is an Indian-style traditional yogurt- based drink, and is usually made by blending yogurt, water and spices.

The Trader Joe’s plain lassi does not contain spices, and tastes very similar to Trader Joe’s plain kefir. It is milder and slightly more watery than kefir, but is equally delicious. This lassi contains 15 billion probiotic cultures per serving, which includes L. acidophilus, L. casei, B. Lactis, etc.

Remember to shake well before serving, as lassi tends to separate more than kefir.
